Avatar is a new kind of role-playing game. There is no set genre,
but there are definite rules.

You will play the part of anything from nearly any genre. Imagine
an elf on the moon, a dragon in the Wild West, an astronaut
fighting dinosaurs; anything is possible!

Character creation is simple, but realistic, game play is
easy.

We have a plausible combat system along with a practical skill
progression. First time gamers as well as veteran dice rollers will
find Avatar fun and simple, yet realistic at the same time.

Dice Monkeys and Fantasy Net are currently doing a joint production
of modules for sale for Richard Tucholka and Tri Tac’s Bureau
13.

A GM can set up a game rather quickly after reading through one of
the modules. The player handouts can be printed out and used as is
or modified to fit into a GM’s campaign. The set up of the
adventures themselves is designed for the GM’s ease.

Layout of Modules

  • Introduction
  • Brief description of the NPCS that the agents are most likely
    to encounter.
  • A short history updates the GM quickly on the current events
    facing the agents.
  • Investigation details places or people the agents are likely to
    check out for clues.
  • The wrap up for the adventure gives the best course of action
the agents need to take to finish the adventure.
  • Through out the book, the GM is given hints and even experience
point suggestions. Please remember, those are tips, the actually
outcome and experience points given are up to the GM’s
    discretion!

The first module book was scheduled for release Dec, 2005.
Unfortunatly a couple vacations to Iraq, Afghanistan and Korea have extended the release date.

Andromeda is an add on world for Tri Tac’s FTL: 2448.

It adds the races, skills, ships, professions and a few other
things from the hit television show to expand your FTL: 2448
campaign.

We start from the beginning of the show, but you can place your
players anywhere in the timeline of the television show.

We include sample characters, NPCs from the show and some other
surprises we think you’ll like. If you want to liven up your
FTL: 2448, this is the book for you.

It can also be used for other game systems with a few minor
tweaks. But since we use FTL: 2448, that’s the system we will
present it in.

Any other custom systems can be requested and denied. Just
kidding. Ask us. If we know the system, we’ll see what we can
do.

When complete, it will be available in PDF format for free
download from our site. This was supposed to be due out end of 2006/start of 2007 timeframe. Due to vacations to Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan, this project is currently still being tested.

If you modify it for another system, we would appreciate it if you
would let us know and consider sending us a copy so that it can be
shared with others. We can either host it for you, or provide a
link for others to get it.
